Securing the future of your business means ensuring visitors and employees are safe at all times, whether you're working in the mining, construction or industrial industry. While you have many responsibilities to keep on top of, safety is a concern that can't be neglected. No matter which industry you're working in, you have a duty to make your work environment as safe as possible, and that includes highlighting any and all potentially hazardous areas.
Modern technology and advanced work processes have made the mining and construction industries much safer than ever before, with accidents and injuries now a rarity. However, accidents still do occur due to human error and irresponsible management, often caused by missing or badly installed safety signage in Brisbane.
As a manager, all you can do is take your duty of care seriously to prevent unnecessary accidents. Accidents are sure to happen from time to time, but you can feel confident you’ve done everything in your power to take preventative measures if you ensure your workplace's hazardous areas are clearly marked.
At Signs of Safety, we provide safety signage in Melbourne to help you maintain a safe working environment. We understand your job is stressful with an abundance of tasks to handle, and that’s why we ensure a prompt delivery of safety signs manufactured to your exact specifications. However, regarding making sure your signs are effective, we recommend taking the advice below.
Ensuring Safety Signs Are Effective
Safety signs are almost pointless if they're not positioned well, can't be understood, or are missing altogether. We understand this as a result of working in the industry for over two decades, and we want to ensure customer satisfaction by letting you know what to understand. Here are a few tips to help ensure your signs are effective.
- Make sure safety signs are positioned for everybody to see – It’s a good idea to have signs warning of impending hazards in advance, but you also need to ensure that signs clearly pinpoint the potentially hazardous area. We provide safety signage in Sydney to your specifications so you can guarantee signs fulfil your desired purpose.
- Make sure the message is clear – You may have years of industry experience that allows you to understand what message signs are purposed to convey, but you can’t assume your visitors have the same level of knowledge. If you need customised signs, make sure they’re easy to understand.
- Consider sign size carefully – Again, as an experienced construction or mining professional, you know what to look out for when approaching recognisable hazardous areas, but new employees and visitors may have less insight. Ensure you order signs large enough to be noticed by everyone.
High-Quality Safety Signage in Sydney
At Signs of Safety, your satisfaction is our number one priority. We provide both off-the-shelf and custom-made signs to suit all requirements, no matter how precise. Plus, we're honest with quotes and deliver on-time, every time, which is what keeps our customers coming back. Contact us to find out how our products can help you create a safe working environment.
Operating a fleet of vehicles is no easy job. You need to maintain everything correctly. Otherwise, someone could accuse your company of flouting Australian standards. Worse still, in extreme cases, your business could receive a fine if you don’t display proper warning signage on your vehicles.
Take for example a fleet of tankers carrying dangerous chemicals. You must display warning signs on your fleet in the case of a spillage so that the emergency services can react quickly and adequately. Another example might be a work van that regularly carries canisters of high-pressure gas or another dangerous chemical.
For all these cases, you need the services of a signage manufacturer that deals with dangerous goods stickers all the time and knows Australian legislation inside and out when it comes to proper signage. If you need safety signs in Ipswich, Toowoomba or anywhere else for that matter, Signs of Safety is here to help.
Dangerous Goods Stickers and Safety Signs in the Gold Coast Area
If your company often needs to transport dangerous goods, you’ll need to have the correct stickers to warn people of hazards. At Signs of Safety, we have an entire line dedicated to making safety decals and danger signs that conform to Australian standards. If you need a stock of stickers fast, or you need stickers made in a custom way to suit your product, this is no problem at all for our team. Just give us a call and tell us your requirements and we’ll be happy to help.
No job is too big or too small at Signs of Safety. We happily deal with small jobs with the same dedication as we do bulk orders. Our philosophy is that small jobs today can quickly become the big jobs of tomorrow – so we make all our customers feel welcome no matter what.
Marketing Material Made Easy
We don’t just do safety signs at Signs of Safety, no sir! If you need anything else such as display materials, we’re the company to help. Let’s assume you have an important trade fair coming up, where you know you’ll likely pick up some valuable customers. You’ll want your stand to impress and look the part. With some professionally made pull up stands, you can show off your products and prove to your prospective customers you mean business. You can also add some display banners and signs made from robust and sturdy materials that you can use again and again.
All our display materials use UV stable inks and premium quality materials in their construction – meaning colours will be vivid, and difficult to damage or destroy. Perfect for the busy trade show where you need to be concentrating on building relationships rather than worrying about your signs.
Whether it’s marketing materials you need, or safety signs for your Toowoomba warehouse, Signs of Safety will help you along every step of the way, from quality designs to on-time delivery and excellent aftercare. Give our friendly team a call today on 1300 982 719, or use this handy contact form to request further information.

You’ll need to provide employees with appropriate safety gear that will protect them in the event of an unfortunate accident. Additionally, you'll need to thoroughly train employees on best practices and how to work safely. Things to Consider When Ordering Construction Site Signs in Ipswich
While we can manufacture signs to suit every business's specific needs, you need to be aware of what you need to consider to ensure your order will fulfil all your needs. Below, we'll list a few things you ought to take into consideration.
- Inspect every area of your site thoroughly – As a construction site manager or owner, you need to ensure every potential hazard is clearly signposted to prevent unnecessary accidents. Make sure to inspect your site thoroughly to gauge what signs you’ll need.
- Don’t order small signs attempting to save money – We fully understand that every business needs to retain profits to secure its future, but you shouldn't cut corners when it comes to safety. Always order signs that are clearly visible to everybody.
- Make sure your signs are understandable – You may be accustomed to standard site signs due to extensive experience, but visitors might not possess the same knowledge. Ordering customised signs where necessary will bolster your safety efforts.

Managing a mine requires extensive experience, attention to detail and absolute professionalism. Australia's mining industry attracts thousands of travelling workers annually, and plenty of Australians seek careers in this highly profitable sector. You've worked incredibly hard to earn your respected position of site manager, but you need to take your responsibilities seriously to keep your workplace safe and secure.
Nowadays, injuries are far and few between in the mining industry thanks to technological advancements and impressive heavy machinery, but there is still an abundance of potential hazards that need to be signposted clearly to keep employees out of harm's way. Additionally, clients will visit your site regularly to inspect the work you're doing and your managing abilities, and they won't be impressed by dangers that aren't tended to responsibly.
Of course, you can't eliminate all potential hazards from a mine, but you can ensure visitors and employees are aware of their existence. To highlight dangerous areas, you'll need to employ the services of a sign manufacturer you can trust that can deliver your required products promptly and that's where we can help.
At Signs of Safety, we've assisted countless businesses to make their work environments safer for over twenty years, and we can do the same for you. Two decades of experience has taught us that every company has individual requirements, which is why we cater to all needs by creating customised signs to suit every workplace.
High-Quality Industrial Signs in Gold Coast
Whether you’re managing a mine, construction yard or a large factory, you have a duty to ensure the safety of staff and visitors to comply with Australian law. We provide industrial signs in Ipswich that make potentially hazardous areas highly noticeable. Here are a few hazardous situations you need to make clear to all:
- Loose materials overhead – Though we have the modern technology to prevent mines from collapsing, there's still a chance that loose debris could fall from above in certain areas. While hardhats and appropriate clothing are essential safety measures, you need to make industrial signs in Toowoomba clear to ensure everybody remains aware of the potential danger.
- Heavy machinery – It only takes a momentary lapse in concentration for an accident to occur in areas where heavy machinery is used, and accidents are more likely to happen at night when vision is naturally impaired. Ensure all site visitors are aware of where heavy machinery is operated.
- Slippery floors – Every establishment has a responsibility to highlight wet floors, but slippery surfaces are especially dangerous at mines. Make sure uneven and wet surfaces are clearly signposted.
A Sign Manufacturer You Can Trust
At Signs of Safety, our mission is to provide you with the signs you need to keep your work environment as safe as possible. We understand that every company needs signs for different purposes, which is why we can create customised signs to meet individual needs. If you need custom-made signs delivered as quickly as possible, contact us to find out how we can help.
Does your business, worksite or facility have exposed pipes or service lines? If so, then pipe labels are going to be a must. Whether the pipes are carrying water, steam or trade waste, it is important that your employees have that information. Without proper pipe labelling strategies, you risk workplace accidents and potential legal liability—as well as troubles with the government for failing to comply with federal standards.
Needless to say, purchasing pipe labels in Melbourne or Sydney is a significant step in preserving the occupational health and safety of your workplace. In facilities where many different pipes are carrying a variety of substances, the labelling process is extra complicated. It can also become expensive, due to the Australian standard requirement that says labels must be placed at 8-metre intervals and adjacent to all junctions, valves and bulkheads.
Get Price Transparency for Your Pipe Labels in Sydney or Brisbane: Call Signs of Safety Today
If you need bulk or custom orders on pipe labels, then Signs of Safety is the place to shop. No matter what kind of pipe labels you need and no matter how many you are buying, you can always trust us to be transparent about pricing.
For instance, we have two standard sizes of pipe labels available in Australia: 460mm x 47mm & 460mm x 37mm. 460 x 37mm labels cost $3.00 each, or $25 for 10. 460 x 47mm labels cost $3.50 each, or $30 for 10.
However, if you have special requirements for the pipe labels at your Brisbane or Melbourne location, just let us know. Perhaps you need 50 or 100 of the same label to mark off an unusually large or long section of piping. Maybe you need a larger or smaller label to mark off a non-standard-sized service line. At Signs of Safety, we are happy to prepare a custom order of pipe markers for you. We can tweak the size of our labels so that they suit you, or prepare a special bulk order.
If you do have special order needs, feel free to get in touch. We will quickly prepare a price quote for you so that you can decide whether or not to go through with the purchase. In general, we are extremely competitive in price as order quantities increase.

Australian standards dictate that pipes must be marked in certain ways depending on what they are carrying. Ensuring that your business or worksite has followed these standards is essential for ensuring both compliance and safety.
At Signs of Safety, pipe markers are our speciality. If you need pipe markers for your workplace in Brisbane or Ipswich, you can count on us to provide what you need in a compliant manner. All our pipe markers have been designed in accordance with Australian standards. For instance, pipe markers for pipes carrying water are always green, while pipe markers for pipes carrying alkali or acids are pink. All pipe markers are also visibly labelled so that all the people working in your facility will be fully aware of what materials any given pipe is carrying.
Why Pipe Markers Are Important
In some cases, the materials that pipes carry are more or less harmless. Such is the case with pipes carrying water, air and steam. However, other elements that might be flowing through a given pipe—such as acids, oils or trade waste—might be harmful or toxic. Avoiding leaks or breaks in those pipes, then, is of particular importance.
Having the proper pipe markers around your Gold Coast or Brisbane facility can help remind workers to use caution around all pipes, but especially those containing hazardous materials. When your employees know what materials pipes are carrying, they also know the potential hazards posed by each client.
Australian standards dictate that pipes must be labelled every eight metres 'along the service' so that, labels must be placed 'adjacent to all junctions, valves, service appliances, bulkheads, wall penetrations and the like.' Needless to say, marking a pipe correctly and in compliance with directives, requires multiple different labels with identical colouring and labelling.
Use Signs of Safety to Order Your Pipe Markers in Brisbane, Ipswich or Gold Coast
Signs of Safety has been manufacturing and distributing pipe markers in Ipswich, Gold Coast and throughout Australia for two decades now. You can count on us to know the right colours and templates for each different kind of pipe label. Our pipe markers also come in two default sizes (460 x 37mm and 460 x 47mm) as well as custom label sizes. Regardless of how big your pipes are, or what they are carrying and how many markers you need, we can meet your requirements.
You can also count on Signs of Safety to provide the highest quality pipe markers on the market. We want you to be able to apply your pipe markers right after construction is complete and then not have to worry about them. With that goal in mind, we provide vinyl labels with UV stable inks. We can even protect your markers with an additional laminate covering—an especially useful feature for any outdoor piping you may have.

It is always rewarding to see our signage displayed but there are even greater rewards when it is displayed in front of sell out crowds and millions more on TV. This was one of those great jobs that we all enjoyed producing because of the unique nature of having a swimming pool at the cricket.
[...we also supplied Brisbane Heat with signage and promotional solutions throughout the Big Bash League]
The CUA Pool Deck rear wall is a screen with banner mesh, using sail track edging fixed to a timber frame and supports. The surrounding signage is digitally printed corflute which is attached to the pool fence. The rear wall banner mesh had to be millimetre perfect to ensure it fit within the existing structure. With several site visits and the allowance for the stretch of the material it fitted like a glove.
In addition to the CUA Pool Deck, we also supplied Brisbane Heat with signage and promotional solutions throughout the Big Bash League. Well done on a great season Brisbane, next year we will bring the championship home! ...read more
There you are, minding your own business working at your desk when a foreman on one of the companies’ many projects comes barging into your office. He indicates that he needs seventeen different custom safety signs in Melbourne, of various sizes for his worksite. He further indicates that no more than any two of the signs will have the same text or graphic on them.
Before he goes any further, you interrupt and say “But I work in Human Resources, why are you coming to me about this?” The foreman’s response is something to the effect that if someone gets hurt it will be your problem and punctuates that statement with “The Boss said for you to do it, and by the way, we need them quickly!”
You jot down the requirements for the various custom safety signs and being reasonably tech savvy; you start with an internet search. After an hour, you realise that the companies that just distribute signs only have certain "standard" sizes and language and do not meet the required parameters. You become encouraged when you find custom sign companies, but then learn that the signs are made on a different continent and won't reach you for four to six weeks. You call the foreman and inquire as to when he needs the signs, and the response is a terse "Yesterday!"
You call a co-worker in Accounting to find out which sign vendors your company uses. When you call them, they inform you that they have plenty of the standard signs your company usually acquires and suggest you just use the closest match. You know that the Boss won't be impressed by that suggestion.
Custom Safety Signs in Sydney
As a last ditch effort to find a source for custom safety signs in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, you try calling Uncle Bob who is the general manager of a large construction company in Sydney. You recount your problem to him, and he laughs and says "I thought you had a hard question for me, this one has an easy answer. Just call Signs of Safety! They do all of our custom safety signs in Sydney."
You call Signs of Safety and are surprised that they take your call so late in the day. The knowledgeable, courteous representative takes down all the information you provide her and says they will get back to you shortly. “Sure you will” you say to yourself and go home dejected.
The next morning when you show up for work there is an e-mail waiting for you from Signs of Safety. You open it and are astounded that there are proofs of all of the signs, a competitive quote for the entire job, and a completion date of next week!
You print out the proofs and quote and run to find the foreman. You find him in the lot having an animated discussion with the Boss. You approach sheepishly and stand to wait until they are finished discussing cost overruns. The Boss turns to you and says "Are you waiting to talk to him or me?" "Both" you respond.
We also do Custom Safety Signs for Brisbane
You show them the proofs and quote for the custom safety signs for Melbourne and the Boss asks: "Didn't the foreman just ask you for this yesterday?" You proudly nod in the affirmative. "Get them ordered, and from now on, you are our point of contact with Signs of Safety. We need 127 custom safety signs in Brisbane in two weeks. Can Signs of Safety get custom safety signs to Brisbane?" Your reply with a confident smile is: "They sure can!"

From fire extinguishers to fire-rated doors and fire exits, you still need to mark off fire prevention fixtures throughout your building. You need fire signs in Brisbane or Ipswich, and you need them ASAP, but you also don't want to sacrifice quality. What do you do?

A Quick Turnaround
One of the things that we are known for at Signs of Safety is quick turnaround time. If you need your fire signs ASAP, just let us know. Our customers' deadlines and expectations are paramount to us, and we always ask clients how soon they need their signs. In most cases—especially with fire signs, since they usually don't require much customisation—we can turn orders around promptly. With that said, if we can't meet your deadline, we will let you know and advise you on which step to take next.
In any case, if you decide to work with Signs of Safety for your fire signs in Ipswich or Gold Coast, you won't deal with constant delays or limited communication. Too often, the largest signage companies on the market act like pack and send services, with little communication or business-client communications. Smaller signage companies offer more personal customer relationships but are frequently so disorganised that they still can't provide quick turnaround times.
At Signs of Safety, you get the happy medium between these two extremes. We offer the customer service of a smaller venture with the speed, efficiency and organisation of a larger enterprise. As a result, if we say we will have your fire signs to you in two days, you can trust us to live up to that estimate.
Don't put the safety or compliance of your building at stake because you don't have the proper fire signs. Instead, give us a call at Signs of Safety and let us know what you need. You can reach us on 1300 982 719.

What Sets Signs of Safety Apart
At Signs of Safety, we have been selling a range of hazardous signs in Brisbane and Melbourne for two decades now. While we have a longevity that many of our competitors don't, though, we are not the only company in Australia that sells these types of safety signs.
So what sets Signs of Safety apart from the pack? How have we lasted through the past 20 years, continuing to grow our brand and win new loyal customers despite minimal marketing or advertising? And why should you choose us if you need new Hazchem signs in Australia?
What makes Signs of Safety unique is the human element. These days, it seems like the majority of safety signage companies are based completely online. The online shopping experience is optimal for many types of sign purchases since you can just browse a web store, find what you need and place your order. However, if you aren't sure exactly what kind of sign you need, getting an actual human on the phone to advise you in your order can be more challenging than you might think.
At Signs of Safety, we provide the convenience of an online store with the customer service of an older brick and mortar business. If you click here, you can see the hazardous signs that we carry in Sydney, Brisbane and throughout Melbourne. You will see a chart of some of the more common dangerous goods signs, as well as a second chart detailing the pricing.
If you need help picking out the right sign for your workplace, though—or if you need a custom-made hazardous goods sign—you can give us a call at 1300 982 719. Unlike with some larger sign companies, we won't bounce you through a series of automated voice messaging systems. Instead, you will get to speak with an actual representative—a faster and much more satisfying way of getting your problem solved.

We have been in business for over twenty years and focus on manufacturing our own signs. We do not just warehouse the most inexpensive flimsy signs like many distributors, but rather fabricate almost all our signs to order. We take pride in the quality of our signs and make them durable. Many customers have told us about their experience buying cheap vendors from other suppliers, and when they deteriorated within a few weeks, they contacted the supplier. All the supplier did was blame it on the manufacturer, saying they didn't make the sign, take it up with the foreign manufacturer. That won't happen with Signs of Safety. We proudly make our signs here in Australia, and we stand behind every sign we make.
There are very strict rules and regulations that apply to the safe storage of dangerous goods and materials. Our hazardous signs meet those standards. We can supply you with an extensive variety of hazardous signs in Ipswich.
